WET GAS/MULITPHASE FACILITY SPECIFICATIONS

The specifications of the CEESI multiphase wet natural gas flow facility are as follows:


Nominal 8 INCH Test Facility


Gas Media: Natural Gas
Liquid Media: Exxsol D80, Freshwater, Saline Water
Test Section Pipe Size: 8in Sch 80 (can adapt to other sizes)
Pressure Range: 150 to 1100 psia (10 to 75 bara)
Temperature Range: 70 to 100 deg F (21 to 38 deg C)
Gas Flow Range: 11500 to 63600 acfh (325 to 1800 m3/hr)
Exxsol D80 Flow Range: 1.6 to 883 acfh (0.044 to 25 m3/hr)
Water Flow Range: 0.2 to 883 acfh (0.007 to 25 m3/hr)
Water Cut Range: 0% to 100%


Nominal 4 INCH Test Facility


Gas Media: Natural Gas
Liquid Media: Exxsol D80, Freshwater, Saline Water
Test Section Pipe Size: 4in Sch 80 (can adapt to other sizes)
Pressure Range: 150 to 1100 psia (10 to 75 bara)
Temperature Range: 70 to 100 deg F (21 to 38 deg C)
Gas Flow Range: 2860 to 22950 acfh (81 to 650 m3/hr)
Exxsol D80 Flow Range: 1.6 to 495 acfh (0.044 to 14 m3/hr)
Water Flow Range: 0.2 to 495 acfh (0.007 to 14 m3/hr)
Water Cut Range: 0% to 100%

The CEESI 4 inch and 8 inch facilities are gas driven systems where liquids are injected into the gas stream.

Pressure Range: 150 to 1100 psia (14 to 55 bara)
Temperature Range: 70 to 100 deg F (21 to 38 deg C)
Gas Flow Range: 742 to 5545 acfh (21 to 157 m3/hr)
Exxsol D80 Flow Range: 1.6 to 883 acfh (0.044 to 25 m3/hr)
Water Flow Range: 0.2 to 883 acfh (0.007 to 25 m3/hr)
Water Cut Range: 0% to 100%

The CEESI 2” facility is used for low GVF tests where a liquid continuous flow exists, or where lower gas velocities are required. This facility is a subset of the CEESI 4” facility and is configured in a “split flow” configuration.


DATA POINT ACQUISITION


A typical data point is 5 minutes in length with 5 minutes of stabilization time before hand (depending on conditions). In a given work day, 20 – 25 data points can be acquired in most conditions.


3 Phase Flow Availability


During the months of December through March, the water is taken out of the facility due to cold ambient conditions. During these months, 2 phase flow is available (Natural Gas and Hydrocarbon Liquid).


FLEXIBILITY


Larger or smaller line size meters can be installed. The stated maximum and minimum flow ranges remain as stated. CEESI understands the nature of flow measurement research, and are willing to modify existing facilities or adapt to changes in test programs at the time of the project.
